The Sarah Landry Series : Part. 4
A Threat to His Divine Holiness’ Life
Endangering HDH’s Life
After her extended stay in the aadheenam (temple monastery complex) for three months for the Living Enlightenment Program, Sarah made several trips to the aadheenam. Her behavior was aloof. She never connected to the native community and they reported that they felt extremely uncomfortable around her. During a public program, when HDH was delivering a talk when HDH was when HDH initiates participants into superconscious awakening, she claimed that she heard Swamiji’s voice in her head, telling her to come towards Him on stage. She got up from her place in the audience and started to make her way to the stage, alarming the entire audience and campus residents.
One witness remembers how she looked dazed, and carried an intoxicated expression on her face as she was walking towards HDH. The programs coordinator observed her moving dangerously close to the stage and immediately sprung into action. She rushed towards her to restrain her from going up on the stage and she put up a scene, claiming that HDH was calling her, that she was His Devi. She thrashed against the woman trying to stop her from invading HDH’s personal space any more and left her were several injuries. 3-4 female aadheenavasis (campus residents) could not stop her fit. They were all completely frightened and trying with all their might to control her. It took hours for her to calm down. Many bruises and scratches later, she finally did. She was given the chance to explain herself and why she publicly invaded the privacy of HDH. She responded with this long-winded story of her vision where she was suddenly possessed by the delusional conviction that she was being called by Him. The people were appalled to hear that she could not control herself. Another instance like this was too risky for the life of HDH and those who want to live peacefully in the monastery.
For this purpose, Sarah Landry was asked to leave the aadheenam. She left claiming to understand the threat that she posed. There is no saying what the plan of attack or means of assault would have been had she not been restrained and removed at the appropriate time.
